Prep Cook/Dishwasher 

Village Vino is looking for cook/dishwashers. We are a small wine bar that provides great wine and food experiences for a great community in the heart of Kensington. Our small but efficient kitchen serves dishes all made in house as well as designing pairings for our monthly wine tasting events. We’re looking for a new team member to help us continue to execute and grow our food and wine program.

Responsibilities:

  • Prep food for service

  • Bus tables

  • Wash dishes

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness

  • Weekly deep cleaning of entire kitchen

  • Food Run

 

Requirements:

  • Able to lift heavy equipment and supplies (50+ lbs)

  • Moderate kitchen experience and knowledge is preferred

  • Knife skills

  • Able to stand for long periods of time

  • Good communication skills

Hourly FOH/Operations

Hours: All positions are part-time hourly. Hours vary week to week.

Location: San Diego County, CA

 

These positions may require the employee to work on weekends, holidays, and after standard business hours as needed to be of service to clients and guests.

Event Manager

Responsibilities include managing event employees, client needs on event site, menu integrity, communication with onsite kitchen team, timely service, event set-up, event clean-up, load-out of event and overall operation of catering areas at all assigned events and functions. Employee will communicate and coordinate all event details with the Sales Manager and Executive Chef prior and post event. We count on this employee to be our client liaison and ensure that all guests (including our client) are beyond satisfied with their experience.

 

Captain/Lead Server

Responsibilities include managing a team of employees, menu integrity, communication with onsite kitchen team, timely service, event set-up, event clean-up, load-out of event and overall operation of catering areas at all assigned events and functions. We count on this employee to ensure that the event runs smoothly and that all guests are beyond satisfied with their experience. Employee works with Event Manager onsite.

 

Bartender/Barback

Responsibilities include set up and service of all BTS bars as well as running beverage product from BOH areas to maintain a fully stocked, efficient bar area. Bars will range from Full Top Shelf to Beer & Wine. A knowledge of basic cocktails, beer and wine, ABC rules and regulations and a willingness to jump in where needed is required. We count on this position to greet and assist guests in a friendly, polite manner. Tasks may also include keeping all areas clean by bussing tables, changing out and running trash in/to BOH areas and overall set-up and tear down of venue catering equipment and service/prep areas.

 

Server

Responsibilities include set-up and service of food buffets/stations, as well as running food from our BOH areas to the FOH to maintain a clean and fully stocked front of house. We count on this group to maintain food standards, as well as greet and assist guests in a friendly polite manner. Tasks may also include overall set-up and tear down of venue catering equipment and service/prep areas.

 

Bussers/Runners

Responsibilities include keeping all areas clean by bussing tables, wiping down buffets, changing out and running trash in/to BOH areas. Tasks may also include set-up and service of food buffets/stations, as well as running food from our BOH areas to the FOH to maintain a clean and fully stocked front of house in addition to the overall set-up and tear down of venue catering equipment and service/prep areas.

 

Delivery Driver

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of vehicle, daily check-in & check-out. Comfortability driving a variety of vehicles from transit vans to refrigerated trucks. Good driving record & road safety top priority. Tasks may also include packaging out meals and restocking/cleaning of work stations.

 

Warehouse

Responsibilities include sorting, packing, loading, delivery, unloading, and tasks related to the product and order fulfillment for operational venues. Employee required to lift 50lbs.
